indiana pork supports science teachers
Indiana Pork was proud to sponsor the Nourish the Future Conference at Fair Oaks Farms, an event that brought educators together to explore agriculture, food production and classroom learning.
Through hands-on experiences and conversations with industry professionals, 35 science teachers gained new resources and a better understanding of modern farming. Indiana Pork’s support helped provide educators with valuable tools and lesson plans to share the story of pork production and agriculture with their students.
During the Pig Adventure tour, a Crown Point-based teacher asked Indiana Pork staffer Jeanette Merritt to explain the difference between a CAFO and the barn she was looking it. When Jeanette said she was looking at a CAFO, that teacher was floored! She said she couldn't understand why people said bad things about CAFO's after seeing the Pig Adventure!
